When I took my daughter for her yearly check up nearly a year ago they said that her weight was perfectly fine. They did a few tests to make sure everything was functioning properly that could possibly make her gain weight or retain weight. Everything seemed good.
It's now nearly a year later. She weighs about 75 at 10 years old. Now if it were not for her height, her weight would probably be okay. She is really short though and that causes problems. I can barely get her into girls size 14/16 in jeans and some of those are getting too tight. Not to mention having to cut off at least six inches in the length if not more.
Does anyone have any experience in helping a child with Down Syndrome to lose weight??
I remember when she was little and tiny. I worried about her ever gaining weight lol.
